On the 26th May, we took 60 students to Barcelona on a sports trip. The trip included training for 2 days and international fixtures/tournaments, visits to Barcelona City Centre, Aquapolis Water Park and to Barcelona’s home ground, Nou Camp.
The night time activities included karaoke which some of our students put the staff to shame and the famous disco were our school took over the dance floor and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The hotel we stayed in was lovely and students enjoyed the large selection of food available. I’m sure all students would agree that they would of liked the pool to be a ‘tiny’ bit warmer!! On the last day students enjoyed a walk to the beach and were able to do any last minute shopping while enjoying an ice cream on the beach! Read More

Half Term Camp
Over the Whit break, NLA held a 3 day Camp for Year 5 & 6 students from our feeder Primary Schools. The camp was held over Tuesday 28th & Thursday 30th May and was a further chance for children to see the wonderful facilities and staff at the Academy. The transition between Primary and Secondary School can be fraught and we aim to do all we can to make children feel welcome and give parent’s an insight to our school.
We had over 50 children attending each day. The children were able to meet staff, make new friends and take part in all manner of exciting opportunities. Those who attended took part in a different set of activities than usual with our very own Mr Fry coming in to run some problem solving and orienteering sessions. Read More

Get into teaching with North Liverpool Academy
North Liverpool Academy recently hosted a School Direct exhibition to give people considering a career in teaching a chance to find out more about school based training.
School Direct is a scheme which allows schools to train their own teachers. Schools can then employ individuals as qualified teachers either in their own school or a school they have links to.
The event was hugely successful with many aspiring teachers showing interest and filling out an application form. Photos here.
Individuals interested in applying for School Direct should click here for more information or email Mr Maddocks at Schooldirect@northliverpoolacademy.co.uk.
