The North Liverpool Academy Gems have been developed to aid students enrich the skills they will gain throughout the academic curriculum. The Gems outline six key competencies that encourage students to become independent, valuable citizens, lifelong learners and a leader in their classes, the academy and their community.
The Creativity Gem teaches students how to develop creativity and use this to improve their learning.
The Teamwork Gem develops the skills students need to communicate well, be an effective team member, solve conflicts and support others.
The Risk Taking Gem teaches students to become more self aware so they understand themselves better and are able to make the right decisions to keep themselves and others safe all the time.
The Problem Solving Gem helps students develop the skills to look at problems carefully and develop the right solutions.
The Determination Gem encourages students to understand that they can change and create whatever suture they wish for through their own efforts.
The Reflection Gem teaches students how to think about their learning, their actions and their futures so they can give themselves the best chance in life and help others to do the same.
